Introduced two years before the G-III in 1970, the Canon "New" Canonet QL17 L was nearly the exact same as it's predecessor that overshadowed it. Equipped with the same sharp 40mm f1.7 lens, a shutter with shutter-speed priority automatic, and a bright, parallax-corrected, rangefinder. 
The only difference? The battery check isn't a light bulb on the back, rather the meter needle lines up with the f5.6 marker.
The Canonet QL-17 G-III has gained a cult following, and the "New" L version has every feature and function that made the camera famous- except the G-III badge.

This kit includes a Canon Canonet QL17 "Luxus", a vintage 48mm UV filter, lens cap, and a PX-625 battery to power the camera.
