The Nikon FM was the continuation of Nikon's successful Nikkormat series of cameras, but re-engineered to fit in a far more compact, and lightweight package. Weighing less like a brick (over a quarter of a pound lighter!), and featuring the easier to use AI metering system, the Nikon FM was an immediate success. It was more than just a simple, fully-mechanical camera, it was a fully-mechanical camera in the era of early, issue-prone electronic cameras; it was assured reliability for any photographic shoot.

Not serviced, but in very good condition, with light to average signs of prior use. Spot of mild corrosion on bottom plate of camera, but only cosmetic. Shutter fires at all speeds, and sounds accurate. Meter functional and accurate. Later model, 3,xxx,xxx series.
