With everything needed for a modern lens to function: an aperture, a focusing mechanism (that can focus down to nearly half a foot away), and all the electronics required to accomplish that; in a package less than an inch thick, and weighing only 69 grams. On a camera body, its about twice as thick as a standard body cap; but you can take pictures with it.
